To avoid collection of all data information at once you can hide few questions on initial application form and then user can fill it later once logged into their profile.
Step 1:
Go to MORE-> Application and Profile Builder
Step 2:
Once there, look for the required section and click the edit / pencil icon
Step 3:
Go to the question you want to hide and in additional properties select "Not on application but in profile"
Result:
All the fields with this property will be hidden on application form and can be added later trough their profile by logging in.
